Reviews
My partner and I had a great time here. The service was excellent, the food was great, and the outdoor seating is dog friendly. We haven’t had time to go on dates, so we did a lot of research and glad we chose to eat here. We happened to arrive during happy hour, and got the Duck Fat Fries and Salmon Sliders which were amazing and well seasoned, with the salmon being allowed to shine. We ordered the roast duck breast as an entree to share which was packed with flavor, especially the deeply roasted bits. We closed out with the beignets where were not too sweet and perfectly cooked. We got all the sauces with it, the chocolate and caramel which are made in-house and it was perfect balance of sweet and bitter. We plan on coming back often.
I came here today for brunch based on the reviews, but was highly disappointed. The leg/thigh piece of my chicken & waffles was served with blood inside, which is not only unappetizing but also a health concern. When I pointed this out to first the wait staff and then the manager, their response was not just disappointing; it was infuriating. They argued that the undercooked chicken was "perfectly normal" due to sous vide cooking and insisted that I "shouldn't be worried about getting sick."
I had to cut off both of them to say I’m not going to argue nor am I interested in excuses about their cooking methods. I expected a basic level of customer service as how I wanted my meal prepared. This restaurant's dismissive attitude towards my concerns is inexcusable. It's crucial for any dining establishment to prioritize the well-being of its customers, and this restaurant failed miserably.
The manager finally removed the dish from my meal, but by then I had lost my appetite because of the way I was treated. Of all the restaurants available in Bethesda alone, I will be finding another option to enjoy my Sunday brunch and spend my money.
Service was phenomenal. Beer selection will accommodate many tastes. The menu appears simple but has lots of varying opitions. Food was perpared very well, delicious, well presented. Tends to get busy after 615p. Can grow very loud once filled with patrons. Service remained excellent when packed.

My friend and I enjoyed a fabulous dinner here on a cold winter Saturday evening. The salads, roasted beet and mixed green, were bright green with lots of tasty bite-size veggie additions. My smoked duck breast was done to perfection. My friend 's rockfish was exquisite. The almond cake dessert special hit grace note of sweet without sticky, and made a fitting end to a memorable meal.
My husband Joe, daughter and I went to Barrel and Crow yesterday evening 5/2, for happy hour. The service by Michelle was outstanding. She went over the dinner specials and made sure we had the happy hour food and drink menus. She was pleasant, funny, efficient, and took care of every request. Michelle could not have been more helpful or more pleasant.
No wait (reserved on Open Table). Food was terrific! Hanger Steak, Duck Fat Fries, and Ravioli were to die for.
Came here for dinner Sunday—service was a bit slow, but overall the food was good! Top favorites were the Lamb Bolognese and Spiced Shrimp and Frits—both dishes were well flavored and decent portion. Duck Fat Fries was a good side, and we tried their Steamed Mussels special—it was okay, a bit bland for my taste.
I went with my 17 yr old daughter and was offered several seating options. I decided on one and had NO ONE come for about 15 mins. Finally a manager? (not a server) came and apologized and took our full order of drinks, appetizers and dinner. She was very nice. I believe our inteneded server was training someone because they did acknowledge us and asked if all was ok. We had our food delivered by other staff by then. Chicken and Waffles were very good ...chicken so well cooked and big white meat breasts. Salmon burger was good. Truffle fries awesome. Friend Green Tomatoes were good. We saw server again when we needed the check. It may have been an off night. But, I was disappointed to pay close to $100 for less than average evening out.
